Portland, OR – Kelly Olynyk scored 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds to help No. 8 Gonzaga to a 71-49 win over Portland on Thursday. Kevin Pangos scored 14 points while Elias Harris gave 10 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs (17-1, 4-0 WCC), who have won eight straight. Kevin Bailey had 16 points while Oskars Reinfelds added 12 points for the Pilots (8-11, 1-3), who have lost four of five. Gonzaga led this game from start to finish as the team scored 16 of the first 18 points and Pangos' layup seven minutes in made it a 16-2 game. Portland answered with the next eight points, but that was as close as the game got as the Bulldogs scored the next seven points and eventually took a 36-26 lead into the halftime break.
